Depending on how wild you are going, removing as much of the hump in the exhaust port as you can, and opening up the bowls under the valves is the normal thing to do. Don't polish the intake ports. If you need more flow, a set of CJ valves, at least the exhaust, will help too... WebFeb 6, 2024 · 1. Small, high-flowing port compared to other aftermarket heads. You typically won't find a 320-330 cfm head with a 170-175cc port. Most on the market are anywhere from 208-225cc (and larger). 2. I have yet to see any FE engine with those features. The parts catalog lists different part numbers for 391 cylinder heads and gaskets as compared to FE's.
