Webstreaks of road dust on the canes, a bowl. of chipped porcelain inside of which. were raspberries. Very red, very sweet, furred. like my friend’s upper lip I remember. between my teeth as we stood. on the docks. The smell. of iron and winter mist, her mouth. Weba lighthouse sits, old and decrepit. the waves crashing against its sides. there are memories scattered on the rocks, pieces of ships, foolishly drawn into the light. after all, you're supposed to steer away from the lighthouse, aren't you? and so, it sits, forgotten by history.
